ELO ANNOUNCES NEW 02-SERIES LARGE FORMAT TOUCHSCREEN INTERACTIVE DIGITAL SIGNAGE DISPLAYS

Ultra-thin form factor and smartphone-like performance in a large-format wall tablet; New 46 inch size offers a wider choice for customers

MILPITAS, Calif. — March 15, 2016 — Elo, a global supplier of digital touchscreen solutions, today announced the new Elo 02-Series interactive digital signage display, featuring an ultra-thin form factor at only 2-inches, making it the ideal large format wall tablet platform for immersive interactive applications. The new 02-Series displays are available in 32, 42 and now 46 inch sizes with either projected capacitive “PCAP” or infrared touch technologies, providing a fast and extremely sensitive response similar to mobile devices. Each size is also available as a non-touch display option. The low-profile design integrates seamlessly into modern interiors for all commercial markets including retail, hospitality, gaming, corporate and medical applications, and offers system integrators and value-added resellers a high-performance solution that is easy to deploy and will withstand the heavy use of a commercial setting. The 02-Series is available today.

With the 02-Series displays, Elo is making touchscreen interactive digital signage even easier. The smart phone like touch experience provides up to 10 touches simultaneously, and with the sleek and modern edge-to-edge glass displays, they look good in any commercial environment. With no plastic border to trap dirt or grease, this clean aesthetic not only looks good – it’s also built for commercial-grade use. Choose between projected capacitive units for unmatched looks, maintainability and reliability or infrared touch for a well-known level of reliability and performance at a competitive price. A new embedded touch on screen display allows programming of key display features without the need for a handheld remote. Seamless snap-in peripherals enhance ecommerce and hospitality solutions including webcam, NFC reader, mag stripe reader and barcode scanners.

The computer modules provide the performance needed to manage demanding, media-rich interactive digital signage software applications. There are four models available—three are based on 4th Gen Intel® Core™ processors, and Elo’s Android model is based on the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ processor. The Intel-based modules are available with Windows® 8.1, Windows 7 or without an OS. The Android module enables our EloView® cloud-based management software. EloView allows Elo touchscreens from 10” to 70” inches to be instantly turned into public-facing interactive experiences with existing marketing content (apps and responsive websites). EloView and the new Android computer module provides the same remote device management and content delivery on large format displays as found in our highly successful I-Series touchscreens. EloView also enables our content and reseller partners to remove pain-points related to initial provisioning and hardware management for quicker deployment.

Additional operating systems such as Chrome OS, Mac OS and Linux are also supported based on specific implementations. Elo offers a three year warranty extendable to five years, on site exchange (continental US), embedded power management and 24/7 operation supported with the 42 and 46 inch models.

“Our new 02-series displays are the thinnest and most feature-rich large screen interactive displays we’ve developed,” said Neeraj Pendse, director of interactive digital signage at Elo. “At more than 35% thinner compared to our current products, and with features like on screen touch-based settings menu and advanced color management, the Elo digital signage portfolio is now even more versatile for retail, corporate and healthcare use cases.”

With a total thickness of 2.0 inches (50.5 mm), the 02-Series is ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and IBC (International Business Council) compliant for wall-mounted installations. Optional, high-performance computer modules are available, which turn the display into a completely integrated all-in-one computer — without the need for any cables or additional mounting hardware. The 02-Series display is available to demo at DSE on March 16-17 in Las Vegas, Elo booth #2634. For more information, visit EloTouch.com.
